Today, we celebrate the theme “Museums for Education and Research,” which aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 4: Quality Education and 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. Museums are crucial educational hubs that transform lives through culture, reading, enlightenment, and equality.
As part of this celebration, the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board hosted Animation Day in collaboration with the Animators Association of Ghana. This event showcased the power of digital storytelling and virtual reality, highlighting how museums can innovate and educate in engaging ways. Participants of all ages enjoyed interactive sessions, bridging traditional tales with modern technology, and reinforcing the role of museums in education and research. Together, we are harmonizing our efforts to create a better, more educated world through the power of museums.
