The Animators Assoc. announce with deep regret the passing of Edward Abebrese, a Life Patron of the Animators Association and one of the pioneers of animation in Ghana. He was 92. Edward spent over 30 years building the animation industry and ensuring the establishment of a formal animation training in sub saharan africa. He was, for many years, the head of the animation program at NAFTI now IFT, UNIMAC and acted briefly as Director of NAFTI. The animation community is deeply shaken by the loss.
